In honor of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being released to theaters (I saw it, had a blast but also cried a lot so be warned. This film has some dark and disturbing imagery around animals so probably best not to show this to little kids), Mantis is now a character at Disney California Adventure.

The Liberty Belle in Magic Kingdom became stuck! Guests had to be evacuated via raft.

In never-ending legal news, Governor Ron DeSantis as signed into law a bill (known as SB 1604) that would end the contract Disney has had with the state of Florida for over 30 years. How this will affect the parks and the guest experience is yet to be determined. I wouldn’t be surprised if this too goes to court, so stay tuned.

In Cruise news the Disney Wish, which has been docked for 3 weeks to undergo some updates and refurbishments, is back on the seas! While there have been some small updates (like to the concierge area), the biggest news bites concern a newly themed jazz lounge area based around the Pixar film Soul. I love Soul and boy are they tempting me with pics of the drinks, food, and especially the piano. There is also a new Encanto Celebration! Details are little sparse on this but it seems to be an interactive experience. Not a theater show and not a dinner experience like on the Wish. If I see some details on what this is I’ll let you know. Personally, as the Magic is docked in Miami and sails to one of my absolute favorite places, San Juan, this might have to be my next cruise.

Speaking of tropical destinations…Adventures by Disney has announced that they now offer a trip to Colombia! If you don’t know or had forgotten, Colombia is the country that inspired Encanto. Other new destinations are offered as well so make sure to check it out. The most extravagant I see listed starts at $110,000 for adults. 23 days, 24 nights, and you travel the globe. It takes you to all Disney parks around the world and includes 3 amazing sites…the Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza, and Eiffel Tower. You also fly on a special plane where every seat is First Class. This truly could be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Start saving…yesterday. Also this starts in Anaheim and ends in Orlando so you’ll still need to find a way home. Want something a little more affordable? Colombia starts at $5,000 for adults and lasts 8 days, 7 nights.
